Online trackers are small scripts used by websites to track the behavior of internet users. They collect information about visited websites, links accessed by users, and other activities, and pass it on to advertising firms or other third parties. These trackers can contribute to personalized advertising being displayed, but they can also be a threat to privacy as they collect a lot of personal data.

There are several ways to protect yourself from online trackers. One option is to use browser extensions like Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin, AdGuard Ad Blocker, NoScript, Disconnect, and TunnelBear Blocker. These are browser extensions that help block trackers and ads. They prevent connections to the servers of trackers and block scripts loaded by websites. You can also set which trackers to block for more control over your privacy.

Another option is to use VPN tools like ProtonVPN. VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) encrypt your internet connection and hide your IP address, making it harder for trackers to track your internet activity. ProtonVPN is a particularly reliable choice as it was developed by security experts and has a strict no-logs policy.

Finally, you can also use a browser like Brave, which already blocks many trackers and protects your privacy. Brave automatically blocks trackers and also offers a private mode that hides your internet activity.

It is important that you take steps to protect yourself from online trackers in order to preserve your privacy on the internet. Use browser extensions, script blockers, and VPNs to ensure that your internet activity is not tracked. Choose a browser like Brave that already has many protective mechanisms built in.
